Sometimes they do! In my experience it's been quite mild if so. But if you ever plan on making them it helps to think through a filling that is complementary in flavor to what you're using to color the dough (turmeric dough can be a bit stronger in flavor, for example, but I've tried it once with a lamb-cilantro filling and it was excellent).
